Top 13 Movie & TV Recommendations for Halloween!

I love the idea and atmosphere surrounding Halloween, but the truth is we don’t really celebrate it here in Portugal (which is sad for me, I wish we did). Some kids try sometimes, they’ve knocked on my door in the past, but usually no one in my old building would even let them in…

Today I’m bringing you some TV and film recommendations for you to watch this year and my own small watchlist. I’ve included non-scary family friendly movies, spooky tv shows and even a few movies that actually scared me. Some are recent, some are classics from the 90’s, but I only recommended the ones I thoroughly enjoyed or loved!

Also, I made a Halloween list of spooky tv series you should watch that still totally applies to this year: Four Spooky TV Shows to Watch On Halloween – featuring one I recommend here as well!

Judge a Book by its Cover// My Favorite Cover Trends!

Today I’m here to talk to you about book covers! I would love to be professionally involved in designing book covers (even if I’m not a great illustrator or can even afford Adobe Indesign). I love seeing all the tiny details in a cover, the effort it took to create such a thing and and looking back at the cover after reading the book and finding all the little references the story inside.

*I have not read most of these books and I’m here to only talk about their covers/cover trends and not their subject/content. To my knowledge I am not featuring any extremely problematic author/book but please let me know if you think otherwise.

(TTT) Contemporary Romances I Loved // mini-reviews!

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Loved But Never Reviewed and I’ve recently noticed that I never review the contemporary romances I love for some reason so I thought this was a great opportunity to write some mini-reviews and recommend you some of my favorite romances (the majority of which I read this year)!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, but now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Six Books I Loved But Rarely Talk About!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday’s theme is great because truly I have no idea why I don’t talk more about these books!? I really enjoyed them or loved them and I might occasionally recommend them to people but they are rarely if ever mentioned in any of posts or rants.

So this time I decided to only look at my physical shelves because I’ve been reading far more ebooks recently and my babies deserve more attention!

Authors With A Fun Social Media Presence

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is Authors Who Have a Fun Social Media Presence. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.

This is such a fun topic, but frankly I’m not the type of person who follows authors or book news very closely. Still, there are always a few authors who engage with their fans and following in really fun ways and always share bits of their personal lives and tastes.

The Newest Additions to My TBR!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a post that wasn’t a review, I know, but as soon as February starst I’ll be much more active! But for now, here’s a late Top Ten Tuesday! I saw everyone doing these yesterday and I wished I had found out about this prompt sooner!

I want to make a separate post for my recent book hauls when all the books actually arrive (some are rather late…) so here are the newest additions to my TBR!

TTT: My Fall TBR of 2019

This may seem like an odd question, but when does fall start and end for you? To me, it only starts feeling like fall is here about halfway into October usually. It’s always so hot here until then that it just couldn’t possibly be fall, but this year it’s a bit colder so I have high hopes for this fall. (Plus, I know that December is when fall ends and winter starts, but to me December is Christmas and Christmas is winter, even if it’s usually a warm winter month.)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl.
